‘Meow’  Self-portrait

“Show me your kitties!”

I love my kitties! Not many people have seen my kitties, although many have asked to.  Believe it or not, I keep my kitties inside more often than not.  They are very pretty kitties though, just the right size, soft, not too firm, the kind that feel really, really good when they rub up against you. I would know, because I’m always touching my kitties, always! But they are mine, so I can….and I do!

I understand that some people want to see as many kitties as possible. I’m kind of with you there, I too, am fascinated with kitties. Just know, you’ve already seen about as much of my kitties as you will ever see. However, because I’m the type of person that cares about you, and knows that you have needs, I’m going to share something with you….. there is this thing called ‘Google’, maybe you’ve heard of it? You can look at kitties all day long if you learn how to use it. Big ones, small ones, some the size of your head! For real, go try it!

If you are a kitty fan like me, here’s a little kitty ditty you’ll probably enjoy.  Whether you like country music or not, the lyrics alone are worth listening to.

“Type hard, like you mean it!”

Cat’s are bitches!

Sometimes you just have one of those days that you think will be promising but it ends up just being a mess of shit before it ever really gets going.  When I woke up this morning, I told myself “happy thoughts”.  I really do have a lot to be happy for.  But when you are faced with a few piles of cat vomit before making it to the coffee maker, it can really put a damper on your day.  See, I have two cats.  These cats like to eat everything that we fucking forget to put away.  Here are just a few examples of some of the shit they have eaten.

Headphone wires (at least 10 pair)

Plastic bags and wrappers                                                             catvomit

Hair ties

Anything made from rubber

-rubber bands

-rubber bracelets

-rubber pencil grips

-rubber pieces of any kind

-shrimp and potatoes

-shrimp and corn

-are you still reading this crap?

-I’m off on a Forrest Gump tangent.

-but you get the point, yes?

Anyway, where was I?  That’s right, nothing says “Good Morning” like cat vomit.  That’s just the first ten minutes of the morning.  Once that happened, I gave up any hope for the rest of the day and just settled with the knowledge that “tomorrow is a new day”.

Just for the record, I do love the cats, they just piss me off.  Vomit is the last thing I want to deal with, especially that early in the morning.  It doesn’t help that they kept rubbing up against me while I was cleaning it.  Almost like a big F U! Look what we can get away with.

I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before they start crapping rubber bouncy balls with all the junk that they eat.

Bet you can’t wait for that post!

“Type hard! Like you mean it!”

poetry “The Dachshund and The Sphynx ~ A Bedtime Story ~”

Now settle down boys

And hop up on the bed

A new bedtime story

It’s one I haven’t read

Calm down

Calm down

It’s one you’ll like, I think

It’s a story about friendship

called The Dachshund and The Sphynx

The Dachshund could remember

The day that they had met

Surprised that little kitty

Had never once been pet

He saw that she was hiding

And called her out to play

“Here kitty kitty”

Here kitty kitty

Please don’t be afraid”

A new friend, she thought

So she began to purr

But little puppy couldn’t believe

This kitty had no fur

Little puppy wondered

What happened to her clothes

And when he went to greet her

She kissed his big round nose

Little puppy asked her

“Do you have a name?”

But little kitty didn’t

She felt a bit ashamed

So puppy tried to cheer her up

and said, “how bout a game?”

Puppy knew that she was shy

And a little meek

But boy, oh boy

How her ears perked

While playing hide and seek

The puppy was a frisky boy

He barked and acted tough

Poking poor little kitty

He liked to play so rough

But as their friendship grew and grew

The longer they would play

They’d meet up in the barn at night

And frolic in the hay

One day while both were playing

And wrestling all about

Little kitty kicked her bowl

And made the milk spill out

“Naughty kitty!

Naughty kitty!”

Little puppy growled

Little kitty

Showed her claws

“Meow meow meow”

Little puppy liked the sound

Of little kitty’s mew

So he kicked his paw real hard

And emptied his bowl too

Now Willy dog the Dachshund

Had a gift for kitty Sphynx

So like his favorite flower

He named her Petal Pink

The two became inseparable

Joined just at the hip

Promised when each bowl was full

They’d always share a sip

Now Storytime is over boys

Let me tuck you in real tight

Since you’ve been so good for me

Your kitty can spend the night

Remember boys, like any kitty

with or without fur

Pet her hard and pet her good

To make her purr, purr, purr
